The exam includes two main sections:
Japanese Language Proficiency (conducted in Japanese only)
Academic Ability Test (Mathematics, Science, or Social Science), offered in both Japanese and English.
Students achieving top scores may also qualify for scholarships, such as the Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship, which offers around ¥52,000 per month.
To appear for EJU, the minimum academic qualification required is Class 11th. Students aiming to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate programs in Japan should consider taking the EJU exam.
